LIFE IS WHAT?
La vie est Belt is a brand of fashion accessories made from recycled materials, manufactured in France.
The adventure was launched by Hubert in 2017 in Lille, with belts made of used bicycle tyres in his cellar, then in an adapted company in Tourcoing by Christophe, Kamel and Gaëtan.
Our mission: to prove that we can change the world by making and selling products.
We are convinced that everyone can be an ACTOR OF A BETTER WORLD!
In 4 years, La vie est Belt has produced and sold more than 30,000 belts, enabling the recycling of nearly 10 tons of rubber and creating 6 solidarity jobs! It is also more than 100 media appearances, 7 awards including the Circular Economy Paris Gold Medal.

How we work : Each person is responsible for "Mission Blocks"
We are independent on our missions but remain linked. Every Monday = 1 team meeting to review current priorities, opinions and needs.
Where: Roubaix & Tourcoing (59)
THE BELT MISSION :
To accompany our strong organic growth, we want to improve our belt production tools and conquer the French, Belgian and Dutch tyre market.
When: From September 2021
Where: Base camp at the AlterEos partner workshop in Tourcoing (59) = production site for belts and key rings, storage of materials, accessories and finished products, order preparation station.
1) PRODUCTION
* Implement a 5S approach in the belt production workshop
* Identify the safety stocks of spare parts
* Define the quality/product specifications.
* Write the work sheets for each step.
* Improve the production tools to gain in efficiency
* Support the development of new products
2) PROCUREMENT
* Set up a collection circuit for the workshops
* Identify possible logistical mutualisations for the collection of tyres in France
* Conquer the Belgian and Dutch territory for the collection of tyres
* Optimise the flow of material collection (textile, rope, hosepipes, and new materials...)
